Welcome to Leodis Healthcare LLP

Leodis Healthcare LLP - clinically led organisation representing family doctors and their practices.

Leodis LLP established on January 12th 2007 as a commissioning organisation, which is able to significantly influence the design and planning of better healthcare for local communities and the registered patients of member practices.

There is an Executive Board consisting of 7 elected GPs, including a GP Chair, 2 elected Practice Managers, a selected Practice Nurse, an appointed Lay member with a focus on patient and public involvement and a full time Chief Executive. The Board provide the strategic leadership for the organisation and clinicians provide clinical leadership roles for the development and implementation of care pathways.

The 28 member practices are principally drawn from East, South and the central Leeds. There are 126 GP members covering a registered population of over 208,000 patients.

Patient & Public Involvement is central to the work of Leodis Healthcare. All member practices have been encouraged to establish local patient forums and the recent development of a Leodis-wide Patient Advisory Group has enabled the following:

  • Patient review of Leodis’ plans for service redesign.
  • Reviewing and commenting on the service plans for Leodis.
  • Formulation of carers statement.
  • Developing patient satisfaction questionnaires.
  • Feedback on the transport needs of patients to locally based services.
